Precision milled exotic woods — by a fellow maker, for fellow makers.

Pearwood, boxwood, hornbeam, maple and more — cut to tight tolerances for ship modelling, woodturning, laser cutting, knife handles and any work that calls for a clean, stable, beautiful piece of wood.

Modelling sheets and planking strips for ship builders, square stock for spars, laserable sheets for cutting and engraving, blanks for woodturners and knife makers — and a few hand-picked accessories.

Built for fine detail

Three things fellow makers — modellers, turners, knife makers, laser cutters — tell me they value most about working with Hobbymill.

Tight tolerances

Sheets and strips milled to ±0.10 mm (±0.20 mm for square strips), so planking lays flat, laser cuts come out clean and turning blanks chuck up true first time.

Species chosen by a maker

Swiss pear, Castello boxwood, Alaskan yellow cedar, hornbeam, maple and karelian birch — picked because they work well on the bench, the lathe, the laser bed and under a sharp blade.

Something specific in mind?

If you need a thickness, width, length or species not listed in the shop, just send your specs over — whether it's planking stock, pen blanks, laser sheets or something else entirely.
